FAQ
-
What is Body Alchemy Project, and how does it work?
Your sanctuary for embodiment, healing, and training.
Healing through moving: physically or energetically, in your own body, running, yoga, strength training, mobility, recovery practices, CNS regulation, your movement practice
-
Do I need to be a runner or have experience with yoga to work with you?
Not at all! My coaching is tailored to meet you where you are, whether you're a seasoned runner, new to movement, or just exploring ways to connect with your body.
-
How is this different from traditional coaching or fitness programs?
It’s how we do what we do. My approach is holistic and trauma-informed, blending physical movement, nervous system regulation, and self-reflection to address both body and mind. This is about more than achieving physical goals—it's about cultivating resilience and creating sustainable change in all areas of your life.
-
Can I work with you if I’m recovering from an injury?
Yes! Having experienced knee surgery, shoulder surgery, ankle cuteness, and IT band issues myself, I’m equipped to help clients recover safely and build strength and mobility post-injury. Additionally, we know injury is a healing experience and an opportunity to get to know ourselves and our body more.
-
What is nervous system regulation, and why is it important?
We live in a world that is over exacerbated in our fight or flight response and deeply malnourished in our rest and digest. Both are needed. Nervous system regulation helps you manage stress and emotional overwhelm by calming your body’s fight-or-flight response. This work lays the foundation for healing, resilience, and personal growth.
-
What are somatic practices, and how do they help?
Somatic practices are body-centered techniques, such as breathwork, mindful movement, and sensory awareness exercises, that help you release tension and reconnect with your body. These practices are especially helpful for trauma recovery and building self-awareness.
-
What if I’ve never run before or don’t think of myself as a runner?
That’s completely okay! I work with clients at all levels, helping them build confidence, avoid injury, and find joy in running. Running is about your personal journey, not how fast or far you go.
-
Do you offer training plans for specific races?
Absolutely! I can create personalized training plans tailored to your goals, whether you're preparing for a marathon or just starting a 5K that is body-led [cyclical and/or moon] and heart-centered.
-
What does body-led or heart-centered mean?
Body-led is when we use our internal framework — the menstrual cycle— or seasonal influences — the moon cycle — as the MAIN framework for our training. Optimizing our natural physiology is the real “bio-hack.”
Heart-centered is a trauma-informed approach, helping individuals transform through education and programming that is promoting a safe and nontoxic culture.
-
What kind of mobility or strength work do you include?
I incorporate mobility exercises, strength-building routines, and yoga-inspired movement to improve flexibility, prevent injuries, and enhance overall performance. This is all part of the recipe for your main meal: running and not on the back-burner. We’re shifting the question to “have we done what we needed to do to run?”

Yes! For certain offerings, I provide sliding-scale rates or group options to make my services more accessible.

-
What is somatic healing, and how does it work in your programs?
Somatic healing is a body-centered approach that integrates mindfulness, movement, and nervous system regulation to release stored tension and trauma. My programs help clients reconnect with their bodies, fostering resilience, balance, and well-being, and for many, shifting the needle from surviving to thriving.
-
How does somatic healing complement running or physical activity?
Somatic healing enhances body awareness and helps prevent injuries by fostering alignment and releasing tension. It also supports mental clarity, which is especially beneficial for endurance athletes.
-
What does your group programming for women involve?
I offer dynamic group programs designed to foster connection, empowerment, and growth. These programs blend movement, mindfulness, and dialogue to allow us to rewrite narrative and rewire our experiences.
-
What outcomes can I expect from participating in a women’s group program?
Participants often report feeling more connected, supported, and aligned with their personal goals. Many experience breakthroughs in emotional healing, confidence, and clarity about their path forward.
-
How do you integrate spiritual practices with somatic and physical training?
I believe the mind, body, and spirit are deeply interconnected. By integrating grounding exercises, intention-setting, and reflective practices with movement and training, I help clients align on all levels.
